Situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River, it offers a blend of traditional charm and modern development. Known for its architectural marvels, such as the Sabarmati Ashram and intricate temples, Ahmedabad showcases diverse art, textiles, and cuisine. The city’s thriving commercial and industrial sectors contribute to its status as an economic hub, while it’s warm hospitality and lively festivals make it a delightful destination for visitors from around the world.

How to reach Ahmedabad?

The city is served by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (AMD), which has domestic and international flights. You can book a flight to Ahmedabad from major cities within India or from international destinations. Once you arrive at the airport, you can hire a taxi or use public transportation to reach your desired location in Ahmedabad.  Science City is 18 km from Airport by road.

  1. Ahmedabad Junction (ADI): Ahmedabad Junction, also known as Kalupur Railway Station, is the main railway station in the city. It is located in the Kalupur area and serves as a major hub for both passenger and freight trains. Ahmedabad Junction is well-connected to various cities across India. (~14 km from the Science City)
  2. Sabarmati Junction (SBI): Sabarmati Junction is another important railway station in Ahmedabad. It is situated in the Sabarmati area of the city and serves as a major halt for both long-distance and local trains. Sabarmati Junction is convenient for travellers living in the western part of Ahmedabad. (~13 km from the Science City)
  3. Maninagar Railway Station (MAN): Maninagar Railway Station is located in the Maninagar area of Ahmedabad. It is an important suburban railway station and serves as a major hub for local train services within the city and its nearby suburbs. (~18 km from the Science City)
  4. Gandhigram Railway Station (GDM): Gandhigram Railway Station is situated in the Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad. It is a smaller station and mainly caters to local train services. (~12 km from the Science City)

Ahmedabad is connected to various cities in the region through a network of state-run and private buses. Akshardham

Sabarmati Ashram
